Peacemaker School
Peacemaker School was founded by Beverly Burton, a retired special education teacher from Texas. We have sent our orphans to the school for several years and have been grateful for the opportunity it provides to children in Haiti.
The school serves some of the most impoverished children in the community, providing them with an opportunity to receive an education.
It also welcomes children with physical and mental disabilities who may not otherwise be able to attend public schools. Along with their education, the children are taught the Gospel and encouraged to develop a biblical worldview.
Peacemaker School has recently merged under the umbrella of IOS as Beverly has begun experiencing physical challenges. She continues to lead the school, while we provide support with fundraising and administration so that this ministry can continue to serve those children.
School for the deaf
IOS currently supports a deaf pastor and his family as they serve Haiti's deaf community. Alongside leading church services, he operates a school for deaf children during the week, providing them with education, care, and an opportunity to learn and grow.
Training Center
The Training Center is designed to come alongside those who do not have access to educational opportunities. Our goal is to equip pastors, teachers, and workers with training in both theology and methodology. We have seen the great work they have done already, realizing they have done so with no or very little formal training. The potential to reach more Haitians increases exponentially with the further training and education of these dedicated leaders.
